NICKOLAS GENE MAMULA
August 23rd, 1931 - December 28th, 2014
Nickolas Gene Mamula Passed away on December 28, 2014. Born August 23, 1931 in Lackawanna, NY to Brownie and Sophia Mamula. Survived by his children, Nina, Nickolas Jr. (Celine) and Lisa (Mike); nine grandchildren, brother, Milt (Maryanne); nieces, nephew, cousins and aunts and long- time companion, Del (Nansi and boys). Nick attended Ithaca College and served as an MP in the U.S. Army. Nick played football both in college and the Army. He went on to teach in the West Seneca School System as well as working at Mamula's Main Tavern. After moving to Tucson, AZ in 1972, Nick was the owner of Northside Tile and he was a founding member of the Serbian-American Club. For many years Nick was the president of the club and is still the honorary president. He enjoyed his time as a Shriner and Mason. He retained a life-long connection with Lackawanna and his many friends there. Nick loved golf, traveling and his place in Show Low - always a true Buffalo Bills fan. Nick lived life to the fullest and touched the lives of many over his long and happy life. We will miss his smile and warmth. A Memorial Service and a Celebration of life will be on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Holy Resurrection Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serbian-American Club, P.O. 5863, Tucson, AZ 85703, or Shriners Hospitals for Children, c/o Sabbar Shrine, 450 S. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
