BAUWENS, F. David, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2015. He was born October 25, 1930, in Davenport, IA. He and his wife of 60 years, Arlene (Warlop) Bauwens raised five children, David, Peggy (Lisette), Andy (Rona), Mary Quackenbush, Yvonne (Mike) Mehsikomer. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Mary Helen Brust of Moline, IL. Dave and Arlene moved to Tucson in 1986, after his retirement as Battalion Chief of the Rock Island, IL, Fire Dept., where he served for 27 years. Dave was also a Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Services will be held at St. Pius X Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo, on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rock Island, IL Fire Dept. Arrangements provided by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
