Norene (Laura) Temple enjoyed 97+ years of life before passing away on July 18, 2015. Norene Pomeroy was born at home in Mesa, Arizona of pioneer parents from the Mortensen and Pomeroy families. She attended Tempe Normal and then the University of Arizona, graduating in 1940. There she met Bob Temple, a university football player, who she married. The Temples lived in several locales for Bob's business until retiring to Tucson in 1982. Norene was an avid bridge player and remained a Wildcat basketball fan to the end. She is survived by son, Robert (Judy); grandson, Casey (Tina) and granddaughter, Amy Roberson (Joseph); eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
