Antonio "Tony" E Uribe
July 23rd, 1923 - July 12th, 2015
Antonio (Tony) E. Uribe 91, entered his heavenly home July 12, 2015. Born July 23, 1923 in Williams, AZ. Tony lived most of his life in Ajo, AZ working as a copper miner until his retirement in 1981. He and his wife then moved to Nevada where he worked an additional five years for a silver mine before permanently retiring in 1987. After moving back to Ajo, Tony and his wife enjoyed retirement life until her health began to decline, prompting them to move to Tucson to be closer to family and medical treatment. Tony devoted himself to his family and his church, loving both unconditionally. His undying faith in his Lord made his passing peaceful and beautiful. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Belen R. Uribe; his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by sisters, Elisa (Homer) Bigbey and Helen Daniel; sons, Tony (Kim) Uribe and Rudy Uribe; daughters, Becky (Mike) Walker and Diane (Robert) Valenzuela; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. We love you, dad, with all our hearts and will miss you beyond words! A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Ajo, AZ, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 400 W. Palo Verde Ave. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel.
