Millicent "Millie" Lee Bright
November 16th, 1933 - December 23rd, 2015
BRIGHT, Millicent Lee, November 16, 1933 - December 23, 2015. Millie was born in Chicago, IL, and moved with her family to Fort Wayne, IN., when she was 14. She graduated from Ball State Univ. with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She moved to Tucson and continued her teaching career, while earning additional degrees in Music Education and Library Science at the UofA. Millie's loves were family and friends, her dog, Kaya, singing in the Catalina United Methodist Church Choir, Tucson Opera Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, dancing with the "Wreckettes", UofA basketball, and the Chicago Cubs. Millie is survived by her sister, Kathleen, in Valley Glen, CA. and numerous cousins. As she wished, Millie will be interred in the Memorial Rose Garden at Catalina United Methodist Church, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., The Rev. Matt Ashley officiating. A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship hall. The church is located at 2700 E. Speedway, tel. 327-4296.
