Kenneth Eugene Hasenoehrl, 81, of Tucson died peacefully November 5th after a 10 year battle with prostate cancer. He was born January 17th,1935 in Lewiston Idaho where he was raised on a wheat farm with 10siblings. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Architecture and on September 4th, 1965 he married the love of his life Carolyn Gaskill in St. Joseph's church. Ken moved to Ogden in 1963 where in partnership with John Piers designed many of Ogden's most recognizable buildings including the Weber County Library, St. Benedicts Hospital, Weber State University Bell Tower, St. James Catholic Church and most of the schools in the area. In November of 1995 Ken and Carolyn moved to Missoula Montana where Ken finished his career at the University of Montana retiring in2001, when he devoted himself to Carolyn's care and recovery from a stroke that left her partially paralyzed. Ken was also very active in the community serving many years as a scoutmaster and in the Big Brothers organization. He will be remembered for his love of chocolate, skiing and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn. Three children ,son Erik (Denise) Grandchildren Claire, Erin, son Karl (Debra) grandchildren Blake, Chelsea, Christopher and daughter Gretchen (Sherm) Carter and grandchildren Liam, Quinn, Conner, Arika, and Dannika . Eight brothers and sisters, Viola Kensok (Spokane Washington), Barbara Flerchinger (Clarkston Washington), Wilbur Hasenoehrl (Lewiston Idaho), Geneva Moloney (Spokane Washington) George & June Hasenoehrl (Lewiston, Idaho), Delores & Bob Blank (OkanoganWashington), Loretta and Ray Stubbers (Bellvue Washington) and Sandra& Bill Clark (Chicago Illinois). Also surviving are two brothers in law,John R Gaskill (Tamra) of Newport Beach, CA and Doug Gaskill of SaltLake. He was greeted in Heaven by brothers Leo and Francis and his parents. Funeral will be held at 11am November 22, 2016 at Our Lady of the Desert Church, 7010 W. Picture Rocks Rd., Tucson, AZ 85743, followed by burial at the outside chapel. In Lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to The Redemptorist Renewal Center 7101 W. Picture RocksRd. Tucson Arizona or Casa De La Luz Hospice 7740 North Oracle Rd.Tucson Arizona.
