Jon R. Hayden
April 15th, 1953 - April 15th, 2024
Jon R. Hayden entered the world with his gentle spirit, patience, unconditional love and
support. He taught us all so much about being kind and loving above anything else.
Jon was born April 15, 1953 in Janesville, WI to Karolyn and James Hayden. He died on his 71st birthday on April 15th, 2024.
Jon attended Joseph A. Craig High School in Janesville and University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire earning a degree in Business Administration. His passion for sports was evident in conversations and participation as he lettered in baseball, football and basketball in high school. He golfed and bowled as a child and throughout his life.
As the Senior Class Vice President, Jon’s duty was to read the class role at graduation.
His life long friends from Janesville and Eau Claire loved to play Sheepshead at the table and in later years, online.
He moved to Arizona in 1984 for his job. His Green Bay Packers were his pride and joy. He later became a Dbacks and Suns fan.
He is preceded in death by mother Karolyn Wollinger, father James Ronald Hayden, sister Ronda and son-in-law Gabriel Orona.
Jon leaves behind a large family legacy and is survived by his wife, Alice, children Amanda Hayden Orona, James Jackson Chen-Hayden (Hui Chen-Hayden), Susana Huntley, Thomas Jonovich (Renee), Maria Rivas (Baltazar Jr.) grandchildren; Amelia, Aveya, Aria, Daniel, Drew, Lauren, Quentin, Baltazar III, Susana, Victoria, and Esperanza, Kayden and Kyler. Great Grandchildren Emiliano and Anura.
Services will be held on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 at
First United Methodist Church
15 East 1st Ave.
Mesa, AZ 85210
Followed by lunch and Celebration of Life in Fellowship Hall
