BOWEN, Mary E. 93, of Tucson, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born September 16, 1923 in Charlestown, MA. Mary worked in the Navy Yard during World War II, where she met her husband, Walter and married him in 1946. She and Walter owned a donut shop in North Attleboro, MA. They moved to Arizona in 1978. She loved spending time with her family, playing checkers, reading, crossword puzzles and going to Las Vegas. She is survived by her children, Richard J. (Susan) Bowen, Gary F. (Darlene) Bowen, Robert P. ( Sharon) Bowen, Carol M. (Dale) Mowery, Judy M. (Brian) Stevens and Derek M. (Cindy) Bowen; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Walter; two daughters, Janet Bowen and Maureen Richardson. Service will be private. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel (742-7901). In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to St Jude's.
