Hawthorne, Helen Louise Brigham died August 9, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Laurel Crawford (Ray Drury) and Sandra Hawthorne; grandson, Michael Crawford and great-grandson, Kolby Crawford; husband, Allan preceded her in death, in September 2014. The daughter of Maude and Herbert Brigham, she was born in Cambridge, MA, on May 7, 1920. One of eight children, she is also survived by her sisters, Ruth, Muriel and Barbara. Helen was educated in the public schools of Cambridge, Eastern Nazarene College and graduated from Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing with an RN degree. She married Allan Hawthorne on April 30, 1943. During WWII, she worked as an industrial nurse. While Allan served as a teacher, they lived in Whitman and West Springfield, MA. In 1952, they and two daughters moved to Prescott, AZ, and the following year to Tucson. Helen was a superb homemaker, nurse, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. A private service for immediate family will be held at the Memorial Rose Garden of Catalina United Methodist Church.
