REYNOLDS, Sofia "Pia" Lee passed in her sleep on January 20, 2018, at the age of 95. Pia was born on September 30, 1922 in Zamboanga, Philippines and came to Tucson in 1946 after World War II. She graduated with a nursing degree from the U of A. Pia proudly worked for 42 years as a Pima County Public Health Nurse. She loved her co-workers and the many families she helped. She had one daughter, Sylvia, and raised her as a single mother and one granddaughter, Brooke. In retirement, Pia had many friends and loved going to the Lighthouse YMCA every weekday and attended the weekly senior lunch at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. She loved spending time with her large extended family. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ricardo (Delia), Francisco, Luciano (Alice), and Cesar (Hazel); brothers-in-law, Kaoru and Andy. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Lee; granddaughter, Brooke Lee Harris; sisters, Carmen Matsuda and Teresa Hum; sister-in-law, Arlene; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her wish was to have her ashes buried with her parents Percy Yeung Lee and Conception Ko in Evergreen Cemetery, Tucson. A Celebration of Pia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the YMCA Foundation, P.O. Box 111, Tucson, AZ 85702-1111; or the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W. River Road, Tucson, AZ 85704.
