Marilyn F. Vesling 83, of Tucson AZ passed away peacefully on May 14, 2018. Marilyn was the precious daughter of Fred and Violet Fischer of Wawa, PA. She is survived by her brother, Robert Fischer of Chadds Ford, PA. Marilyn graduated in 1956 with a BS in Home Economics from Penn State University where she presided as May Queen in May 1956. She was an active member of her cherished sorority, Delta Gamma which includes her daughter and granddaughter. She had a short career as a high school Home Economics teacher in Lima, PA. Marilyn married the love of her life, Dean Vesling, in January 1958. In November 1958, Marilyn and Dean welcomed their first child. Marilyn was the devoted mother of Susan Siefkas (Chris), Nancy Young (Ray) and Craig Vesling (Wendy); and proud grandmother of Katerina, Cody, McKenna, Matthew, Gregory and Molly. While raising their family, Marilyn and Dean enjoyed a successful business career which resulted in their living in Titusville, PA; Owego, NY; Ridgefield, CT; Rockville, MD; Saratoga, CA; Kobe, Japan; and Tucson, AZ. The last couple of decades were with their own successful company. In addition to involvement in her children's schooling and activities, Marilyn was active in each community where she and Dean lived. In Tucson, Marilyn devoted her energies to Assistance League of Tucson, Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Chapter B, and Skyline Country Club's Women's Club. Marilyn adopted the Arizona Wildcats when her son played football there and continued to be a loyal fan supporting the teams over the years. Marilyn faced serious challenges, battling and overcoming cancer and providing tender care for a loved one struggling with Alzheimer's disease. Each person who encountered Marilyn was touched by her sweet and gracious ways and marveled at her strength to surmount any obstacle. A Celebration of Life will be held at Skyline Country Club on a future date. If desired, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Research, Mayo Clinic, PO Box 450, Albert Lea, MN 56007, and/or P.E.O. Foundation, 3700 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50312. May her memory be eternal. Arrangements by Adair Funeral Homes-Avalon Chapel.
