Barbara Ann Edmiston
July 23rd, 1938 - January 4th, 2019
Barbara Ann (Peters) Edmiston, age 80, passed in her peaceful sleep at her home in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born on July 23, 1938 in New Albany, Indiana to William Peters and Agnes (Merry) Peters. She married Thomas Myles Edmiston on July 30, 1955. Barbara was an expert at loving those around her. She taught her grandchildren and great grandchildren the things that they could not have learned from the Internet or modern schooling. Teaching to draw, sing or play simple games to enjoy time with friends and family. She loved playing the keyboard and teaching others to do so. Any one that knows her, knows she loves Elvis. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Tom; daughters Deanna (Martin) Fenech, Cindy (Dennis) Derby and Shannon (Ricky) Harris; five grandchildren, Jamie Fenech (partner Chuck Mitchell), Bob (Sammy) Derby, Alan (Ashley) Derby, Gavin and Madison; six great grandchildren, Ben, Joey, Maddie, Noah, Mason and Logan; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Adair Funeral Home 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, Arizona 85716. The family will greet family and friends at the chapel before the service starting at 1:00 p.m.
