Marjorie Jean Schreiber

Marjorie Jean Schreiber was born in Spencer, Iowa on October 7, 1931 to Myrle and Elsie McFarland. Marjorie passed away on April 23, 2020 at Saint Anthony’s Care Facility in Portland, Oregon at the age of 88. Marjorie moved to Oregon with her family in 1940 and grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon. She graduated from Milwaukie High School. Marjorie met and married Eugene Schreiber Sr. on February 11, 1950. She loved being a wife, mother and a homemaker for her family. Marjorie loved being with family, she also found time for square dancing, camping, hunting, pinochle and gardening. She was also involved in Marriage Encounters and the Christian Family Movement. Marjorie is survived by her children; daughter, Debbie Liptan of Sellwood, Oregon; sons, Eugene Schreiber Jr. of Lapine, Oregon, Mitch Schreiber of Clackamas, Oregon, Thomas Schreiber of Phoenix, Arizona, Edward Schreiber of Happy Valley, Oregon, Mark Schreiber of Oregon City, Oregon, Kevin Schreiber of Happy Valley, Oregon; daughters, Brenda Schreiber Janson of Jacksonville, Florida, Pamela Allen of Oregon City, Oregon; and son, Matthew Schreiber of Portland Oregon; sisters, Barbara Gardner of Oregon City and ClaraStuart of Gaston, Oregon. She has been blessed with 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene Schreiber Sr.; sister, Betty Hotchkin; and brother, Jack McFarland. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Anthony’s (3720 S.E. 79th Ave., Portland, Oregon 97206). The date and time is TBD.
