Grant H. Kempton
June 15th, 1935 - March 9th, 2019
Grant was born on June 15, 1935 in Eden, Arizona where he spent most of his childhood years. He loved the outdoors and would spend hours tooling around the farm on his grandfather's tractor. As a young man Grant was passionate about playing basketball and when his family moved to Eloy he loved playing for the Eloy High School in Eloy, Arizona. After high school, Grant moved to San Manuel to work in the mine where he untimely retired as the plant chief safety engineer. Grant was known as a true craftsman. His crafts and projects included metal fabrications, classic car building, wood working, and silversmithing fine jewelry. Grant is survived by children; Debbie (Mel) of Marana, Ken (Deanna) of Tucson, and Max (Cammy) of Tucson; two sisters, a brother and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. His favorite things to do were making jewelry, watching great westerns, and dancing to country western music. Grant was known to everyone as "a great guy". He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by so many friends and family.
