Michael "Mickey" Ann LaLama
October 5th, 1951 - March 28th, 2019
Michael Ann "Mickey" LaLama moved on to her next adventure on March 28, 2019. She departed peacefully from the home she loved in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. No doubt she's making a temporary stop at a casino to drink a margarita and play slots beside her eldest sister Benita before planning the grand adventure. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio and worked as a nurse and aide in special education classrooms. But she will be remembered most as a funny and original woman, a loving wife, a selfless mother, a devoted and caring grandmother, and a loyal friend. She was passionate for life, travel, and crafting, especially with her grandkids. She was an incredibly strong woman...always there when needed, compassionate, and possessed an endless capacity for love. She was the rock. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Albert; her three sons, Shane (Cydney), Shelby (Rachel), and Shannon; her four grandchildren, Rai, Jack, Chloe, and Isabel; her sister, Roslyn; and her many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family will celebrate her privately this Sunday, March 31, 2019. She would ask you not to mourn her, but to celebrate her. Though she loved flowers, she would instead want you to buy yourself a drink or put a twenty in a slot machine, celebrate her life, and remember what you loved about her.
