William (Bill) Julius Evje, of Bisbee, Arizona passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2019 after reaching the age of 70 years old. After months of failing health, he died peacefully in Tucson Arizona on his own terms. Bill is survived by his wife and other half of 44 years Jerrine Evje, Loving father of daughter Esty Jerrine Molina, son William (Willy) Gerald Evje, son-in-law Macedonio (Macy) R. Molina. Bill also leaves behind two sons from a previous marriage: Christopher and Bryon Evje. He was the proud grandfather to Macedonio (Macen) Julius Molina, Genieva Monic Molina, Mia Angelica Molina, and Breanna Athena Molina Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends. Bill was born on August 24, 1948 in Santa Ana, California to Floyd and Helen Evje. Bill was an Airforce Veteran of the Vietnam War having served from March of 1967 to March of 1973, flying F-4 Phantoms as an aviation navigator with a combat tour of duty in Vietnam. He attained the rank of Sergeant. Bill traveled the roads of America driving hundreds of thousands of miles as a loyal, hard-working, caring, loving husband and father just trying to make a living for his family as a professional truck driver. Bill loved his family and trucking so much that for many years he spent his life on the road with his best friend and son Willy. Known for quoting the lyrics of John Conlee's song, "Common Man," Bill lived the life and will be remembered for his fierce independence, strength, and loyalty to his family. As a Common Man, he would rather chug-a-lug a mug of Budweiser beer (in the latter years Jack Daniels) than sip some wine, drive an American car but would always prefer a Ford truck, loved to watch NASCAR and shoot his guns, fly his planes and spend his time with his beloved Pets (especially CB). Known for becoming an instant friend, becoming a positive father figure to those who needed one, Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In honor of Bill's wishes, who was never one for sentiment or religiosity, there will be no viewing or funeral services. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Bill's life in their own way. Raising a glass of their favorite drink in Bill's memory would be quite appropriate. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Evje Residence, 5179 W. Oro Road, Bisbee, Arizona 85603. The ceremony will be followed by a cookout and of course - alcoholic beverages
