Charles Meaker, "Charlie" passed away at his home in Green Valley, Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Charlie was born in Auburn, NY in 1939 and graduated from Syracuse University. He worked as a professional accountant, including for three years in Mexico City. He was a friend to all in the Tubac and Nogales areas, serving on the Nogales Unified School District board, with Tucson Rotary, and most recently for a couple of decades as the recognized if unelected "Mayor of Palo Parado", keeping west side residents informed and within the regulations! He will be acutely missed by his many friends in Tubac. He leaves behind his wife, Sandy, a sister on Long Island, devoted daughter and caregiver, Dawn, granddaughters Tracy and Julie of New York City, and great granddaughter Georgiana.
