Mark Shon Abeyta Mark Shon Abeyta, 51, passed away at his home in Eugene, Oregon, Friday, January 27, 2017, recovering from a recent surgery. Mark was born December 22, 1965, in Rawlins, Wyoming and was a resident of Eugene, Oregon at the time of his death. He worked as a Concrete Foreman for over twenty years and headed up the Erosion Control program at Delta Sand Construction Co. He is survived by his mother and father, Lila and Alonzo Abeyta of Colorado Springs, Colorado, four sons, Shon Victor Abeyta of Boise Idaho, Andrew Gary Abeyta of Eugene Oregon, Alexander Sheldon Nelson of Yuba City, California and Dakota Abeyta of Eugene Oregon. Grandchildren Isabel Abeyta, Shon Abeyta Jr., Andrew Abeyta Jr.; three brothers, Alonzo Abeyta Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado Kenneth Abeyta of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gary Abeyta Alameda, California; three sisters, Margie Lolly Pridgen and husband, Thomas Albany, of Oregon, Jeanette Linda Abeyta and Velma Abeyta Trujillo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Alfredo and Senconita DeHerrera Costilla, Grandmother Juanita Sena and Alfred and Mary Abeyta his niece Lakin Abeyta and Angel Trujillo. A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4th, at the First Pentecostal Church, 2950 Monica Dr. Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a reception to follow. Serving as pallbearers will be Alonzo Abeyta Jr., Kenneth Abeyta, Gary Abeyta, Jeffery Pridgen, Cass Holloway, Martin Ortiz, honorary pallbearers Velma Abeyta Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo and Willy Jefferson. Arrangements entrusted to West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
