Josephine Padilla Perez passed away at home on January 19, 2021, cared for and surrounded by her daughters. Born in Denver, Colorado on February 17, 1930, she touched the lives of others for more than 90 years. Josie, as she was called--Nana in later years—survived her husband, Juan Smith Perez, who passed in 2006¸ and two sons, John and Ron Perez, passed in 1992 and 1994, respectively. She is survived by one son, Ruben Alcocer, and six daughters, Evangelina Ramirez, Delia Beckett, Mary Perez, Sylvia Perez, Stella Perez, and Violet Siwik.
