David Wayne Schroder II

David Wayne Schroder II, age 43 of Tucson, AZ, passed away on December 16, 2022. Born on September 1, 1979 in Monterey, California, son of Karen Hopkins-Schroder & David Wayne Schroder. David moved to Tucson, AZ in 2006 after the passing of his father in 2005. David is survived by his mother Karen Schroder-Reiner, brother Samual Greylend Reiner, his beloved Belgian Malinois & companion Grimm Reaper, step father Scott Reiner, Aunts: Lorraine Brannan, Nanette Downing, Dawn Liseth. Uncle James B. Hopkins Jr, and 8 cousins. David attended Ord Terrace Elementary School, where he was assigned to the GATE program for gifted children. While attending Martin Luther King Middle School, David was awarded a four year scholarship to York College Preparatory. As a child, David dreamt of being an engineer, fighter pilot, musician and veterinarian. He learned to play guitar, harmonica, clarinet and saxophone. He played baseball and football and in high school found a love for photography. He had so many skills and talents. As an adult his passions included: Dogs (Belgian Malonois and Rottweilers), photography, collecting guns, camping, motor cycles (Harley’s), mountain biking, swing dancing, and hiking. Professionally, David spent the last 10 years working at Wild West Security as the Operations Manager. David, along with his best friend Mark Cohen (Owner) worked side by side as they grew the business from a small security company to providing security for large festivals such as: Country Thunder, Tucson and Las Vegas Gem Shows, Super Bowl and many more. David and his Wild West family had many adventures together and created great memories. He was loyal to his family, friends and his job. He didn’t want anyone to know that he was truly a big teddy bear. David will be loved and missed every day. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor and his bond with his dog Grimm. Celebration of Life will be held January 8, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Site 17 Event Center, 840 E 17th Street, Tucson, AZ 86719
