George Howard Anthony Shreve Born September 24, 1959 in Garden Grove, CA., died unexpectedly July 12, 2023 in Tucson, AZ. George was preceded in death by his companion, Norman, brothers, Troy Ray Shreve, Jr. and Jon Christopher, mother, Nancy Ann (Szczechowicz) Poore, father, Troy Ray Shreve, Sr., and step-mother, Patricia (Buchmann) Shreve. He is survived by his sons Scott and Stephen, daughter, Angela, step-father, Wayne Poore, and siblings, Susan Malzahn (John Malzahn), Raylene Ann Fenwick (Charlie Fenwick), Patricia Critchett (fiancée Robert Davis), Robin Shaw (Jerome Shaw), Nancy Paquette, Marjorie Poore, Sherri Poore (Roger Kasper), Raymond Poore (Angela (Mendum) Poore), Yonna Poore, and many nieces and nephews. In spite of experiencing years of mental health issues and homelessness, he overcame through his relationship with Christ, and the support of family and friends, particularly his friend, Jim. George was highly intelligent and held many different professions in his career, among which were being a talented printer, a taxi driver, a steel mill worker, a cook, a restaurateur, and various other endeavors. He was a talented craftsman, designing and building furniture and computers. He enjoyed building models, he was a movie buff, and he loved his cats! A memorial may be planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations to your local homeless shelter or pet shelter would be appreciated.
