Nedra Arlene Mandly, 90, passed away peacefully January 19, 2024 after a brief fight with cancer. She was born in Ohio to Eunice Wiler, and was raised on a farm by Eunice and her grandfather, Ross Wiler. As a teenager, she was adopted by her stepfather, Vernon Santemire. She completed her training at Flower Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, and worked at Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon, Ohio, where she met and married Lowell Mandly. They moved to Tucson in 1962. She loved nursing, and retired from Tucson Medical Center after 32 years. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Leora and husband Lowell, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. After Lowell’s death, she became involved in two senior groups, serving as president and enjoying many activities and trips. She is survived by children, Patricia Jowell (John) of Tucson; Debra Miles-Donche of Bullhead City, AZ; Sharon Mandly of Tucson; James Mandly of Tucson; three grandchildren, Joanna, Lisa and Tom; and three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Emmalyn and Charlotte. Visitation for Nedra will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini, 3201 E. Presidio Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
