Delia R. Figueroa 6/3/1924 - 1/19/2017. Born Maria Dalia Rojas in Prescott, Arizona, she was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, mother in law and friend. Delia passed away and began her new life peacefully on January 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Carpena Bermudez, father, Francisco Bermudez, husband, Henry B. Figueroa, son, Henry B. Figueroa Jr., daughters, Lorraine Marie Figueroa McDonald, Rose Marie Figueroa Ramos, sister, Frances Bermudez Miranda and brother, Francisco Bermudez. She is survived by her son Ron Figueroa (Olivia), sisters Celia Bermudez Almazan (Neto), Cecilia Bermudez Rodriguez (Tony), numerous nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. As a young mother she opened a boutique, La Pinata which was located on the grounds of DeGrazia Studios at Campbell and Prince Road. She was a dress designer by trade and she created designs of her own as well as collaborating with Ted DeGrazia, putting his art on her designs. She was the first person Ted DeGrazia allowed to sign his name in absentia on her work. After DeGrazia Studios closed, she relocated her shop. Delia later closed her business and continued to work as a custom designer at home. Delia's interests changed and she found employment working for a group of doctor's working as a Patient Advocate. Of all the jobs she had worked, this was her favorite. She truly loved this work. She received many letters of thanks and commendations for her efforts in this area. Helping people get needed healthcare, guiding them through the red tape, interpreting for those who spoke only Spanish, was a true joy to her. Delia was a talented, loving, compassionate woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
