Larry R. DeLong

Larry R. DeLong, 60, died Friday, August 26, 2016. He was born March 24, 1956 in Utica, NY. He served 12 years as a Navy Chaplain. He resided in Green Valley since 2009 as senior pastor of Valley Presbyterian Church. In Green Valley, he also served on the UCHC Board of Directors, Rotary Club, and active in the Presbytery De Cristo. He was an accomplished singer, and enjoyed woodworking and reading. He is survived by his mother Leona, his wife of 26 years Valerie St. John DeLong, children Sadie, Seth, Molly and Anna; a brother and sister and extended family. A service will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, 10 a.m. at Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 S. Camino Del Sol, Green Valley, AZ 85622. Contributions in memory of Larry may be made to the College Scholarship Fund at Valley Presbyterian Church.
