Martin (Marty) Harry Metropoulos, born in Chicago, Jan. 4, 1938, passed away in Tucson, November 29, 2015. He was surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Harry Metropoulos and Loretta Coffman, siblings Peter Metropoulos, Antoinette Findysz, nephew John Findysz, and stepson Kim Wynkoop. He leaves behind his wife Linda, children Cindy Elms (Caryn), and Michael (Ann Marie) and by marriage, Jody Brestle (Patrick), 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends from coast to coast. Marty served as a proud Marine and moved to Tucson in 1962. In 1969, he opened the Ace Hardware on 12th Avenue. Marty was loved by many for his joke telling, sense of humor, and generosity. He will be forever remembered and loved. Special thanks to Fran and the staff at Casa de la Luz Hospice. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2:00-4:30 at Brings Funeral Home, 6910 E. Broadway BLVD. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Marty's name.
