Kearney, Gloria D., 85 of Tucson, AZ passed away November 25, 2010. She was born October 14, 1925 in Waltham, Mass, to Pearl (Brown) Dobson and George Dobson. Raised in Caribou, Maine moved to Connecticut at age 16. Married Leeman R. Kearney August 17, 1945. While in Connecticut she worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft during WWII), Royal Typewriter and RHAM High School. Gloria retired to Tucson in 1977. She worked at the Desert Inn and The Fountains during her retirement. Gloria enjoyed water aerobics, Bingo, crafts with her friends, crocheting and reading in her spare time. Gloria leaves her children, Carol (Jim) Roulston, Michael (Patti) Kearney, and Patricia (Tom) Mitchell; grandchildren, Alison (Todd) Chmiel, Melanie (Rusty) Ulmer, Michael (Jacquelyn) Wall, Brendan Kearney, Timothy Kearney, Laura (Chris) Kingston and Julie (Shamus) Murphy; great-grandchildren, Robert Chimel, Avery Chimel, Michael Dahlke, Samuel Dahlke, Jamie Ulmer, Randi Ulmer, Noah Encinas, Lauren Encinas and Ryan Ulmer; sister, Joyce Litwin; brother, Donald Dobson and numerous nieces and nephews. In 1986 Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years. Also, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Suresh B. Katakkar for giving us the last nine years with Mom. A special thanks to Casa de la Luz Hospice and Bayada nursing staff for their support. Thanks to Karen, Judith, Rosie and Al. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Desert Sunset Funeral Home, 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd. Tucson, AZ.
