Neta Faye Bringhurst
June 3rd, 1931 - March 27th, 2011
Neta Faye Bringhurst We lovingly remember Neta Faye Bringhurst who peacefully passed from this life on March 27, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona. She lived a long and full life, always seeking to put others first. She was born on June 3, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert and Neta McOmie and was the third of five children. She moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1970 with her late husband, Jessie "Spike" Bringhurst where they subsequently established a family business, "Plumbing Suppliers", which is still in operation today. They were among the first residents in the Red Rock area, where they lived for many years on a ranch that they built with the help of their wonderful sons. Faye is survived by her loving children, Nancy Colbert, Diana Gruss, Steven Andrew, Mark Andrew and Cherie Kelleher. She was also loved by her six grandchildren and six great-granddaughters. Faye was a nurturing individual who was generous with her time, her love and her means, always striving to brighten others' lives with her service. We will miss her dearly and always remember her example of selfless devotion to others. We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at UMC who took such great care of Faye throughout her recent hospitalization. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the LDS Tucson North Stake Center, 939 West Chapala Road, Tucson, Arizona 85704. The burial will be following the funeral in the Binghampton Cemetery, 4001 N. Alvernon. Donations in memory of Faye may be made to Huntington's disease research at www.hdsa.org. Arrangements entrusted to DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME (520-297-9007).
