Charlene Sauber, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in her home in Tucson, AZ, formerly from Jackson Michigan. She was born February 14, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama to Charles and Rosie Holcombe. Charlene was the youngest of 8 children; Irene Fredrick, Paulene Bobcock, Donald Holcombe, Marlin Holcombe, Vaudean Eagerton, Charles Holcombe, James (Buddy) Holcombe. She married Robert Joseph Sauber Sr. on February 16, 1961 in Charles and Rosie’s home and again on March 2, 1961 in Sacred Heart Church in Tucson, AZ. They had five children, Teresa Sauber Thornton, Robert Sauber Jr., Julie (Tim) Slusser, Christopher Sauber, and Crystal (Larry) Sauber. Charlene truly enjoyed the simple things in life; Enjoying a cup of coffee with friends and family, gardening, and watching her daily lineup of favorite TV shows. Another enjoyment in her life was caregiving. She loved very hard and loved very deeply. She is survived by all of her children, and three adopted grandchildren; Victoria (Anthony) Willis, Abigail (Walter) Mott, and Chase (Gene) Sauber. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including special nieces; Sherry Valenzuela and Sheila Page. Along with Carrie Donahue, who helped care for Charlene. She is welcomed into Heaven by her parents, siblings, husband; Robert Sauber Sr. and two grandchildren; Renee Doty and Sean Emery. She is loved and missed immensely.
