Burton "Bud" Duncan Holley, Jr.
July 6th, 1932 - December 13th, 2020
Burton D. Holley Jr., 88, passed away December 13, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona due to Covid-19 as well as other underlying conditions. He was born July 6, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois until he enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 18. He served four years in Japan and Korea during the Korea War. Bud graduated from Downers Grove High School and Northern Illinois University where he earned a degree in accounting, becoming a CPA. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Mary S. and Burton D. Holley Sr., and by his daughter Karen Severson and son Michael Holley. He is survived by four sons, Brian, Scott, Mark and Gregory, a granddaughter Cassie and a great-grandson Matthew; also three sisters: Barbara Bromgard, Susan Wagoner and Janet Kroll. Bud especially loved cats and the Chicago Cubs and was very proud of his military service and being a member of American Legion. He was buried in the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana.
