Our dear mother Fay passed peacefully at home in Tucson on July 20, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Pleasant Grove, TX on July 27, 1924 and just missed her 98th birthday. Fay was one of 12 children born to Grover and Eva Curry. The Curry clan moved from Texas to Duncan, AZ, where Fay married Robert Atwood and they welcomed their son Grover. They parted ways and she later married William “Bill” Wilkins. Fay and Bill remained in the Southwest throughout their married life, living in New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona and expanding the family with sons Mike and Roger and daughters Wilda and Trish. Fay had a bright, inquisitive mind and a feisty spirit. She loved family visits, reading, listening to music, attending plays and concerts and playing video games on her computer. She began life with Model Ts, endured the Depression and WWII and ended as a competent internet gamer, embracing the digital and computer age. She is survived by brother Nard Curry (Sue), daughters Wilda (Celso) Madrid and Trish Wilkins, son Roger Wilkins, almost-daughters Margie Gotsleben and Lisa Connors-Hassan, almost-son-in-law Stefan Hassan, grandchildren Sam, Scott, Thane, Eric, Alan, Keli, Brandi, Lori, Jeff, Aaron, James and Kodi, 28 great-grandchildren and at last count 8 great-great-grand children. She was preceded in death by husband Bill Wilkins, sons Grover Atwood and Mike Wilkins, son-in-law Celso Madrid and daughter-in-law Penny Atwood. We are so grateful to have had Fay in our lives this long; we will miss her.
