Neil Martin Bourgois 85 of Tucson Arizona passed away, Friday, March 24th, 2023, at TMC Hospice Peppi’s House. Neil was born in Bismarck North Dakota on December 31st, 1937. He married the love of his life, Susan Graves in 1959. They moved their family from Bismarck to Billings Montana and onto Tucson Arizona in 1967. Neil was a diesel mechanic for the mining industry working for Neil’s Detroit Diesel and Road Machinery to name a few. Neil and his wife Susan also had a transport company delivering parts to the mines. He also drove the bus for Mountain View Retirement Community where Susan was a volunteer. Last year they moved into the community that they loved to be a part of. Neil and Susan were active members of the Power from the Past Tractor Club. They drove their John Deere Tractor that his father bought new in 1956 and Neil was the first one to drive it. Every spring you would find them at the Pima County Fair with the club doing tractor pulls and setting up the old country store. Neil is survived by his devoted wife Susan of 63 years; Daughter Michelle Robinson (Forrest Robinson), Son Charles Bourgois (Leanne Bourgois); Grandchildren Chris Robinson (Allison Robinson), Veronica Griffis (Parker Griffis), Harrison Bourgois, Brandyn Becker; Great-Granddaughters Alivia Sutton and August Robinson. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, April 10th at 1:00pm at Desert Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 3801 W. Orange Grove Rd, Tucson, AZ 85741.
