It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Elena Vasquez on March 1, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. Maria Elena Vasquez was born on December 9, 1935, in Superior, Arizona. She was a Customer Service Representative for Medical Billing and enjoyed reading, painting, and telling stories from her childhood. She is survived by her son Edward Vasquez (Debbie), daughter Jessica Vasquez Harwood (Michael), grandchildren Stephanie Vasquez, Jennifer Vasquez, Manny Vasquez, and Paris Vasquez-Harwood and her great-grandson, Gabriel Vasquez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years (married May 26, 1959), Alfredo Vasquez, and sons, Fred and Steve Vasquez. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22nd, rosary at 4:30 pm, and mass at 5:00 pm at St. Christopher’s Church. Reception to be held at Emerald Event Center at 6:30. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
