Raymond Paulus
December 23rd, 1928 - October 19th, 2013
Raymond Victor Paulus Born December 23, 1928 in Kent, Ohio to Emma and Frank Paulus and passed away October 19, 2013. Raymond is survived by Shirley Ann Paulus, his loving wife of 60 years, and his seven children, Kevin, Theresa (Thomas), Raymond, Jeanette (Richard), Marianna (Robert), Robert (Randi), Cecilia (Eric), 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Raymond was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean War. After moving to Tucson, he served 20 years on the Tucson Police Department. In 1973 he received his Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. During his tenure at TPD, he was in the first class of school resource officers and retired as a Sergeant in charge of the larceny detail in 1979. A devout Roman Catholic, Raymond was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Tucson in 1975. He participated in various capacities during his Deaconate, including assisting at St. John's and St. Christopher's Churches. Raymond loved to travel. This past summer Ray and Shirley traveled to Ohio to see family and friends. His love of his family was immense and his "dad jokes" will be missed by all! God has Raymond in his keeping; we have him in our hearts. See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/tucson/obituary.aspx?n=raymond-victor-paulus&pid=167642422&fhid=14414#sthash.O9MypLXR.dpuf
