Helen Love
January 27th, 1934 - October 19th, 2015
Helen Marie Love (Kelly) of Clinton Township Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 19th, 2015 at the age of 81. Helen has been surrounded by loved ones and family this past year in both Michigan and Tucson, Arizona where she moved in July. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She liked to travel to see her sons and family in Arizona and Florida when she could. She was an avid reader and had quite a book collection from her sons and granddaughter. During the summer she found joy in gardening and enjoyed tending to her son’s vegetable and flower gardens. Helen always had a jigsaw puzzle going in her living room and enjoyed when family would visit and help put a few pieces in and chat with her. She was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers and jazz music. Helen was a member of the VFW Post 6691 in Fraser, Michigan. She also spent many hours knitting for her children and grandchildren. She would make baby blankets, winter hats, and scarves. She often donated her beautiful creations to the Salvation Army for the homeless. She was known to start completely over if she was unhappy with just one stitch, probably a quality she had when she owned and operated her drapery shop in Mount Clemens. These past few months she enjoyed spending quality time with family and relaxing on her son's porch in Tucson watching humming birds fly in to feed and beautiful mountain sunsets. Helen will be deeply missed by all whose hearts she has touched. She will be looking down and watching over us all until we meet again. Helen was dearest mother of Michael (Nancy) Kelly, Patrick Kelly, Kathy (David) Stork, James Kelly, and Bryan (Patricia) Kelly. Loving sister of Lloyd Jones. Proud Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her son John Kelly; grandson Michael Kelly; sister Lois Bober; husbands Ormond Kelly, William Love, and Houston Woolbright. Her funeral will be at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Michigan on November 14th, 2015 at 10:00 am.
