Kaaren Nickerson

Kaaren Hazel Nickerson, graduate from Lynn English High School (class of 1961), passed away on November 27, 2015 in Sahuarita, Arizona where she has lived for the past twenty one years. She was born in Lynn, Mass, December 30, 1942, as Kaaren Hazel Wright, daughter of the late Louis Wright and Margerite (Rhodes) Wright. She was married to Ronald Nickerson, August 2, 1964, son of the late Walter and Bertha Nickerson. The Nickerson’s lived in Lynn, Mass. Kaaren was the girl next door and Ronald fell in love with her at the ripe of old age of fifteen. Kaaren was a dedicated mother and grandmother who always put her husband and daughter first. Kaaren moved with her family throughout various states traveled extensively with her husband throughout Europe and North Africa. She especially enjoyed living in Gallway, Ireland. Kaaren is survived by her daughter Shauna Polk and granddaughter Brianne Ramirez, and grandson Jadyn Polk both of Sahuarita, AZ; sisters Lynne Douglas, Diane Mallet of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Wright, mother and father Louis and Margerite Wright of Lynn, Mass. The family wishes to thank Gerinet Hospice and Angel Valley Funeral Home for their care and support. Kaaren's ashes will be spread with her husband’s ashes in the future. The family would encourage any memorial tributes to be shared with Alzheimer’s disease research.
