Minnie “Mae” Greene was born to William and Julia Norwood on May 22nd, 1930 in Bryan, TX. She departed this life on May 2nd, 2017, in Tucson, Arizona. Mae spent her child hood in Bryan, TX, where she met and married her husband John H. Greene. They traveled with the Air Force and had six children. Her divorce from John brought her to Tucson, Arizona, where she met the father of her baby boy (Willie). Mae loved her children and family, music, dancing, shooting pool, and the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. She loved to cook and feed others and take care of people. She was extremely generous and would give whatever she had to help others in need. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers William, John, and Benjamin; Sister Melissa. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four daughters; Denise, Jacqueline, Patricia and Gretchen (Kevin), Tucson, AZ; three sons, Mario, Tucson, AZ; John, Ahwatuke, AZ; and Willie(Kristi), Tucson, AZ; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters Jerline, Helen, Annie, Pearl, Bryan, TX; Mary ( Killeen, TX; brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
