Elizabeth (Liz) Sharon Moore, 75, passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning August 25, 2018 where she resided in the Casas Adobes area of Tucson, AZ. Liz was born in Taft, CA to parents who introduced her to a life full of music and entertainment. Liz spent most of her life in both Northern and Southern California until moving to Arizona with her husband in 2004. Among Liz’s most notable gifts as a talented flutist and music arranger, her professional accomplishments included being a school teacher, music instructor, technical writer, and real estate agent. She also had an amazing green thumb and could grow just about anything! Liz’s compassion for others and welcoming smile will be missed greatly and will live in the hearts of those that knew her. Liz is preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Raymond Arthur Moore, Jr. Liz was a loving and devoted mother to daughters Diane Davis and Linda Moore-Cate, and their spouses Phillip Davis and Bradley Cate. In addition, she was an extremely proud grandmother of Nathan and Colin Davis. Liz’s family wishes to express gratitude to her caregivers at Casas Chapala Assisted Living for their compassionate daily care during the most recent years. They welcomed her as their first resident during the holiday season of 2015. A service will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 7570 N Thornydale Rd, Tucson, AZ on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 3pm. A committal ceremony will occur on Monday, September 17, 2018 in Riverside, CA where Liz will find eternal rest alongside her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (BSLC) Music program, as Liz was an integral part of the choir and had a passion for the program. Checks can be mailed to BSLC at P.O. Box 90925, Tucson AZ 85752, please indicate “IMO Liz Moore, Music program” in the check memo.
