Gregory Sabalos
August 22nd, 1928 - March 2nd, 2011
Gregory Sabalos died peacefully at the age of 83 on March 2, 2011. He was born to Constantine and Panagiotia Sabalos in New York City August 22, 1928. He served as a lieutenant in the US Navy and moved to Tucson AZ with his wife Maria where he taught science at the junior high and high school level retiring in 1986. He believed that education with hard work was the first and foremost achievement for an individual and family as the reward for a life well lived. He loved fishing and hunting Southwest Arizona and spent his retired years restoring classic Land Rover vehicles. His sense of humor and willingness to challenge authority were daily events. He is survived by Maria his wife of 51 years, his three children Liza Sabalos, Paulina (David) Lyons, Constantine (Kimberly) Sabalos and his grandchildren Jason, Philip, David, Greg, Nick and Julian. In lieu of flowers contributions St Demetrios Building fund.
