James Paul Bakker

James Paul Bakker, age 39, died in an auto accident on June 20, 2019. He was born on August 18, 1979 in Helena, MT. He is survived by his wife Jessica Bakker and sons Logan, Ian, Nathan and his stepson Aaron Gravely; father Carl L Bakker (Brenda Wilson) of Billings MT, mother Brenda Lee Bauer of NM, brothers Michael and Danial of Helena MT; grandmother Mary Lee Bakker of Ft Benton MT; grandmother Betty Bauer, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Joseph L Bakker and his grandfather Herbert Bauer. He briefly attended University of Montana to study geology. In December 2017 he moved his family to Tucson, AZ. He was a loving and attentive husband and father. He and Jessica were married in July 2012 and had 3 children together, Logan, Ian, and Nathan, in addition to Jessica’s son Aaron from a previous marriage, whom James treated as his own. He enjoyed making themed cakes for the children’s birthdays. He especially enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind and good-hearted person who did unexpected acts of kindness with a willingness to help others whenever he could. His cremated remains are buried in a family section of Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton Montana.
