Joel Archer Lamb

Joel Lamb, 81, of Tucson, AZ, died on December 9, 2019. Born in Westwood, NJ, he was the youngest son of Dave and Gean Lamb. Joel was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather who loved Jesus and wanted to share Him with those he loved. A friend to many, he spent almost 20 years volunteering and ministering to others by participating in the Alpha Course. He served on the Alpha Mid-Atlantic Board and Alpha New England Board and many Alpha teams—leading small groups and praying for and with others. Joel accepted his recent medical challenges with great dignity and courage. He had a tremendous sense of humor that was a gift to everyone who knew him. He is now enjoying peace in the presence of God, the saints, and the angels. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, brother Jim, sons Robert (Molly), Raymond (Kim), Richard, daughter Catherine (Brent) Leffew, and grandchildren Bernadette, Martin, Owen, Michael, Casey, Nina, Oliver, Jackson, Bennett, and Mason. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Desert Hope Lutheran Church, 7474 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710. Memorial contributions may be made to the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association or the Gospel Rescue Mission in Tucson.
