Charles Franklin Dent
May 26th, 1945 - February 9th, 2014
Dr. Charles Franklin Dent, Jr. passed away February 9, 2014 with his family by his side. Chuck was born in Memphis, TN on May 26, 1945. After moving to Tucson, he attended Rincon High School and University of Arizona. He then served in the United States Army as an officer. He moved to Memphis to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee. Chuck practiced as a dentist in Tucson for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy; his children, Chad (Heather) Dent and Kathryn (Chris) Tompkins; grandchildren, Colter Dent, Lily Dent and Charlie Tompkins; mother, Mrs. Charles Dent, Sr.; siblings, Greg (Heidi) Dent and Denise (Bill) Cook. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Charles F. Dent, Sr. He loved spending time at his house in Pinetop, and, most of all, his time with his grandchildren. A remembrance gathering will be held at Chad's house on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Arizona Cancer Center
