Philip Frank Galpin
June 11th, 1958 - September 15th, 2021
Philip Frank Galpin, age 63, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 15, 2021. He was born June 11 in Hanover, New Hampshire to Frank and Shirly. He was the second oldest of 5 children and the eldest Son. Phil grew up in the small border town of Dougals, AZ. Phil had a very strong work ethic since he was young and loved to be of service. He worked on a farm as a ranch hand while growing up. He often told stories of working for artist Ted Degrazia. He taught Sunday School at Catalina Methodist and helped run the kitchen for Catalina Players for many years. He began working in the plumbing supply industry and became one of the top in his field. Phil helped start a plumbing supply company and worked for the company for many years as a partial owner and outside sales person. He always was willing to help family, friends and neighbors. Phil Loved to cook and entertain family. He enjoyed cooking and passed that passion on to his children. Phil was an advid reader, he enjoyed my titles but he loved murder mysteries and westerns. He enjoyed Spending time outdoors and in the Garden. Phil met and married Joyce in the early 80’s. They share 2 children, Elizabeth and Gregory. Elizabeth and Steve blessed them with 3 grandchildren. Gregory and Angel blessed them with 3 grandchildren. All of whom he truly treasured time with - He loved being “Papa.” Phil met Adriana in 1998 and his family grew to include the Gomez family whom he adored. Phil and Adriana shared many wonderful vacations together and lots of joyous Family and Holiday gatherings. Phil is preceded in death by his father, Frank and his younger sister, Linda. He is now entertaining them with delicious food and sharing jokes and recipes with them in Heaven. Phil was a genuinely wonderful man and He was passionate about helping anyone, Whether it was at work, family, friends and even strangers, he was always helping someone. He is deeply missed and loved beyond this world. A memorial service will be held October 9th at 9am and Angel Valley Funeral Home in Tucson. Followed by a celebration of his life at 1pm at Ft.
