Charles "Chuck" Lewis Brumfield, age 88, went to be with our Lord August 12, 2018. A 40 year resident of Tucson, Arizona, formerly a resident of Seattle and Kent, Washington. Chuck was born in 1930 in Sheridan, Wyoming, residing in Montana, Idaho and Oregon where he met his wife Nola, who survives. He was a graduate of the University of Oregon. After graduating, he began his career in Civil Service employe by the US Government (Department of Defense). Beginning with the Audit Agency, transferring mid-career to the Department of the Air Force employed as a contract negotiator and ending his career as a branch leader business management, pricing branch. With retirement, he had many interests always volunteering his services. He joined NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees), at retirement. He enjoyed fishing and camping all of his adult life, joining the Good Sam club and a local chapter. Also a meber of the Tucson Corral of the Westerners. Chuck liked to help people doing income taxes with both the AARP-TCE and Vita programs. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children-Mark (Eileen) Brumfield and Janet (Patrick) Heywood, two granddaughters Brittani, Ashlinn and grandson Benjamin, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Anita Jo Jones and brother Richard Brumfield. Amemorial celebration of life will be held on September 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the East Side Elks, 615 South Pantano Road, Tucson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chuck's name to the NARFE Alzheimer's Research PO Box 18874 Tucson, Arizona 85731-8874, Peppi's House (Tucson Medical Center Foundation) 5301 East Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona 85712 or a charity of your choice.
