Susan Lou Ross

ROSS, Susan (Westcott) 84, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on September 16, 2018 at Casa de la Luz Hospice (The Fountains). Sue was born in Albert Lea, MN but Tucson was her home for the last 40 years. Sue was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother-in-law and aunt. She enjoyed traveling the world and was proud to tell you about her achievement in visiting all 7 continents. She was an avid birdwatcher both at home and abroad. When Sue wasn’t traveling, she loved to bake cookies, and she baked multiple varieties with heartfelt passion. She shared her delicious handiwork with everyone she knew and even kept track of everyone’s favorites. When Sue wasn’t baking, she was knitting—either washcloths, bed socks or drink cozies for family and friends or beautiful caps for premature babies. When Sue wasn’t baking or knitting, you’d find her enjoying her other passion—reading. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and LuLu Westcott; husband, Ralph M. Ross; and son, Rian Ross. Sue is survived by her children, Robin Ross (Tom Furlong) of Marietta, GA and Mitchell (Yvonne) Ross of Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sue may be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice or the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Sue’s love, kindness, laughter and cookies will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
