Anne Paula Maloney passed from this world into Heaven on Monday April 22nd, 2019. She was born on January 27th, 1937 in Portland, Maine. She was the sixth child of Elinor and Matthew Maloney. Anne married Roy Mitchell and moved to Boston where she raised five daughters. She worked as a supervisor of home health aides in the North End of Boston where she received many awards for her dedication, caring and work ethic. Anne retired in 2002 and moved to Tucson, Arizona where she became an active participant in many committees at St. Pius X. She also kept busy with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Anne was an avid sewer and knitter. She traveled to Ireland to find her roots and enjoyed learning about her culture. She loved connecting with family and friends on Facebook. Anne worked out regularly at Curves. Anne would help anyone in need and readily gave sage advice. If she didn’t know how to do something, she took it upon herself to learn. She modeled her independent spirit for her daughters and grandchildren. We will miss her kindness, laughter, truth telling and her force of nature. Anne is survived by her daughters: Anne, Karen, Patty, Judy, and Peggy; sons-in-law: Pat and John; daughter-in-law: Jodi; grandchildren: Amanda (Tom), Marissa (Josh), Kurtis (Kelli), Justin (Breanne), Erin (Justin), Brianne, Mark, Leah, Matthew, Juanita, Drake, Katie; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jaidan, Bennett, Spencer and Avery Anne. Anne is also survived by her loving sister, Dottie Dillon and her husband Paul; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. Her life will be remembered and celebrated on Tuesday April 30th, 2019 at the 8:30 am Mass at St. Pius X with a reception provided by the St. Pius Ladies Boutique immediately following. St. Pius 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo, Tucson AZ 85715. If you would like to give a donation in Anne’s name, she supported the American Lung Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
