John B. Leahy

John B Leahy passed away peacefully Wednesday July 17, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born February 24, 1930 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Bartholomew and Elizabeth (O’Gara) Leahy . John joined the US Airforce in 1947 and retired in 1973 after 26 years. He then went to work for the US Post Office and retired in 1993. John and his wife Margie moved to Tucson in 1983. He is survived by his children, Mary E. Leahy, John F.Leahy and wife Janet and Ann Marie Leahy, brother Joseph M. Leahy, stepdaughters Charlene Petlick and Marge Pingel. Also 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 54 years Margie (Mobley) Leahy, sisters Mary E Splaine and Elizabeth Leahy and stepdaughter Sherrilyn Hatch. Funeral Mass will be Saturday July 27, 2019, 10am at Corpus Christi Church, 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Rd, Tucson. Reception immediately following mass in the Parrish hall.
