George Albert Romero
July 29th, 2020
George A. Romero, 75, born on March 1, 1945, entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2020. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Bernabe and Guadalupe Romero and his two beloved sons, George and Christopher Romero. He is survived by his stepson John, nine siblings, four grandchildren, an aunt, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. George served a four year term during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He recently retired from the Department of Corrections after providing service for over 30 years. If he wasn't working, you could find him in the gym for hours working out. He was an avid body builder and loved practicing karate in his earlier years, and continued to have a passion for fitness and a strong love for the gym until his untimely death. George was a very generous man and donated to multiple charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He will always be remembered for his sincere smile and warm hugs he would always give to his friends and family. He never went without showing so much love for those he cared for. There is a huge void in our hearts, but we find peace knowing that he is reunited with so many loved ones, especially his parents and sons. Services will be provided by Bring's Broadway Chapel at 6910 E Broadway Blvd. on Friday, August 21, 2020. There will be a private service for George's family from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm and then friends are welcome from 7:00pm-8:00pm. Masks are mandatory and social distancing is a must.
