Alan L. Coon, 82, passed away Nov. 4, 2020. He was born in Laurens Iowa to Lowell and Pearl Conrad Coon. He served in the Marine Corps, was a hot air balloon pilot, painter, and carpenter. He is survived by his wife Susan, son Jim Huebner (Julie), daughter Kim Coon-Morgan (Jim), sister Diane, brothers Marshall, Steven, Kelly, and Craig, sister-in-law Sherry, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He joins his parents, son Lance Coon, and brother Kent in God’s loving care. Alan was truly a craftsman, creating beautiful furniture, jewelry boxes, and more for his family and many friends. His spirit and strength was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
