Leo and Polly lived on the family farm with his parents. The family was very close and came home on weekends to spend time not only with their parents but especially with Leo. The men would enjoy rabbit hunting as the women prepared the meals. Moving west in 1978 to Willcox, Arizona, Leo and Polly farmed side by side for some years. At that time, they broadened their horizons by managing the Holstein calf’s operation, working for the largest dairy farm on this side of the Mississippi, Shamrock Farms. Leo and Polly would spend many hours playing Midwestern cards games. Their favorites were pinochle and euchre which are a tradition that continues in the family today. Many will remember him as a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Parish. Leo would spend each morning devoted to many hours of prayer for his family, and others in need. His kindness and integrity were never in doubt and he will be missed by all. Rosary and visitation will be Wednesday, March 3rd at 4:30 pm, Arizona time.
