Daniel Duane Woods

Daniel "Danny" Woods, 71, of Tucson, peacefully left this earth surrounded in love by family on August 17, 2021. Danny was born on January 8, 1950 in Pontiac, IL to the late Bernard and Daisy Woods. He is survived by stepsons, Mario and AJ and his beloved granddaughter, Marianna. Also, sisters Carol (late Burke) Miller, Sharon (James) Chalkey, Bonnie (David) Baxter and Gail (late Stan) Weiner. Danny now rejoices in heaven with his parents, twin brother and best friend, Donny and brothers, Kenny and Gary. Danny was a graduate of the University of Arizona where he earned his bachelor's degree in arts. He worked as a supervisor for the State of Arizona, ATPT, for over 30 years where he taught the mentally and physically challenged. His kindness and compassion for his clients spoke volumes to the individual Danny was. Danny was a gentle soul with a deep sense of humor and a great appreciation for nature. He loved mountain and desert hikes, creating pottery and nurtured every animal that crossed his path. Danny will be remembered for his great love for family, his warm smile and his quick wit. He will be held in our hearts until that day we join him in eternity. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. at the BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL with a Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows with Msgr. Tom Cahalane officiating. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Desert.
